The project site is located on the land owned by the Macao Waste Incineration Center and Macao Special and Hazardous Waste Treatment Station in Pac On, Taipa, and adjacent to Macao International Airport and Taipa Ferry Terminal. This project is comprised of a detailed design, procurement, construction, installation, testing, trial operation, training, document preparation and related work of the Macao Waste Incineration Center Phase III Expansion Project. The four major facilities under design and construction are the Phase III waste incineration plant, the new special and hazardous waste treatment station, the new administration building and the new substation. Among them, the Phase III waste incineration plant covers two sets of incinerators with a daily capacity of 650 tons and a set of steam turbine unit with an installed capacity of 30MW.
Characteristics and Significance of the Project:
The Macao Waste Incineration Center project is a major livelihood project in the Second Five-Year Plan for Macao’s Economic and Social Development (2021-2025). After its completion, it will effectively solve the problem of municipal garbage disposal in Macao, which is of great significance to protect the ecological environment, improving the residents’ quality of life, and integrated into the ecosystem of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
